Props, Hair and Make Up

Props

-ring - buy/use one of our own. This will be used to link the flashbacks and the present day of the short film together, it will signify that it may be her in the flashbacks and will raise questions for the viewer.

-fake blood - buy. This will be used at a minimum as we don't want it to look over dramatic and unrealistic, it will mainly show in 2 shots.

-machinery - Sophie's dad. As the flashbacks take place in a dark room we will be using Sophie's dads workshop which is full of machinery parts, it will add more mystery and heighten the tension and curiosity of the viewer.
-headphones - use our own. Simply used for the running scenes and to justify the change of non diegetic sound to diegetic as the music will be heard through the headphones.
-phone/iPod - use our own. Again used for the running scenes and for the change in sound.


Hair
when female character is running:
Her hair will be tied back and neat to highlight she is not running away from someone she is simply running as a hobby.



when female character is 'taken':
Her hair will be down, knotted and messy to show she has been through a struggle and suggest she has possibly been there for over 24 hours.



male character:
His hair will hardly be shown as he will be wearing a cap/hood to cover and shadow his face this adds mystery and keeps him unknown.





Make up
female character when running:
It will be natural looking and simple to be realistic.



female character when 'taken':
she will have running mascara to look like she has been crying and we may make it more exaggerated to highlight that she has been taken against her will even more.
