We tried to recreate a scene and this was the outcome.
We each had a chance to move the various lighting equipment to see how easy and quick it is to get the lighting you want for a scene. Many lighting equipment can come in different sizes, weight and strength of lighting each having a following purpose. as you can see we used a variety of equipment to understand the concept and effect of their usage.
These photos show the effect of where a light source is placed and the effect of colored filters. We learned that depending on the following such as lighting,color and positioning can effect the appearance and mood of a character. For instance the color red can be seen as evil and if positioned down the lighting this can make a strong sense to the audience that the character is a typical antagonist.
These photos show the difference a reflector makes, the photo on the left is without and the photo on the right is with. This is useful because this can even out the balance of the lighting in the shot.
Good to see that you've posted these images from the session. Can you explain in more depth what you learned from each image and set up, and evaluate them in relation to the task to recreate the lighting from the Drive still? Post that still to the blog too (grab from the clip on moodle)
